Between 25 October and 7 November 2025, fourteen CERONAV trainees enrolled in the River Sailor Qualification Program participated in a training placement in Spain, organized through the Erasmus+ Program. Over the course of two weeks, the participants followed a learning program that combined theoretical activities with practical applications in the field of navigation and onboard safety.
During the placement, the trainees learned about ship handling, maritime communications, meteorology, first-aid procedures, and took part in technical visits to the port. They also boarded operational vessels, where they had the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in real conditions, under the direct guidance of industry specialists.
The Erasmus+ experience helped them acquire essential skills related to the safe operation of a vessel, fire prevention, the use of lifesaving equipment, and emergency response. The feedback received from the trainees confirmed that the mobility was valuable and had a significant impact on their professional development.
